World Economic Forum 2023

Staff from the FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister visited Davos this week for a Belgian event organised as part of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This event took place in the presence of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Belgium and other high-level  economic and political leaders. The theme of the event was the revival of European industry, with a focus on energy. Ilham Kadri (CEO of Solvay), Fatih Birol (Executive Director of the International Energy Agency) and Aditya Mittal (CEO of Arcelor Mittal) joined the Prime Minister for an informal discussion on this topic. Participants were then treated to culinary creations by Belgian chef Mallory Gabsi. The event ended with a spectacular DJ set by Dimaro, accompanied by Violinvasion. The Prime Minister also participated in a debate on trade and investment and held several bilateral talks in Davos.
